Standalone
For this assignment, we were given a few brand prompts to choose from, including options like Chupa Chups, but I chose FedEx Overnight because the line "Bring the world closer together" immediately sparked a clear, global idea. I wanted to do something different from most applicants, so instead of just turning in three random creative samples, I built a mini campaign, something we were taught to do at OU. I designed a carousel ad, a billboard, and a stand-alone print piece, and put a few of them into mockups to show how they’d actually appear in the real world. My original concept involved full figures from different backgrounds passing along a FedEx package, but AI didn’t handle that well, and I knew I couldn’t illustrate hands myself in Illustrator. So I used AI solely to generate the hands, which represent different countries I’ve personally visited. Everything else , the layouts, design assets, and structure , I built completely from scratch in Illustrator. I’m proud of how it turned out. It’s clean, intentional, and feels like something that could run tomorrow. More importantly, it reflects not just my design skills, but how I think as a creative , in campaigns, not just one-offs.
